The Heartwarming Christmas Tale

Twas the month before Christmas and Granny was pissed, the joy of traditional cards sorely missed. Windowsills, bookshelves and mantlepiece bare, the Christmas card frenzy of old was now rare.

Festive e-greetings had nan in a funk, her email inbox was packed full of junk. A page full of pixels just isn’t the same, this new generation of Christmas is lame.

As Granny had all but accepted her fate, of Christmas spent scrolling, no cards to collate. A creature came strolling along in the snow, a goat dressed in tartan, his kilt on full show.

As he passed by a cottage, a glance sent him reeling, gone was his seasonal sense of good feeling. A granny sat staring, her face had gone glum, no sign of good tidings, not even a crumb.

His mind working quickly, the goat made his plan, to light up the Christmas of one lonely nan. Approaching the doorstep the goat raised his hoof, three knocks summoned Granny, still feeling aloof.

As down glanced the Granny, her lips slightly lifted, as finally something with substance was gifted. In snow coated trotters, a card was held high, and Granny defrosted with a smile and a sigh.

The card it was stunning, a festive design, from Soapbox in Glasgow, it sparkled and shined. Oh, what a difference just one card had made, a lovely old lady no longer dismayed.
