Soapbox media are teaming up with local business Pest Solutions this Easter to collect Easter Eggs to give to Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS).

CHAS is built on the belief that no matter how short the time that children and their families have together may be, it should be filled with as much joy and happiness as possible.

We are hoping that our campaign can put a smile (and a few chocolatey smears!) on the faces of those who deserve it the most and couldn’t think of a better place for our Eggs to go.

CHAS provides specialist end-of-life care to young people and their families across Scotland with life shortening conditions.

They not only run two incredible hospices that provide 24/7 palliative care, but also support children and families unable to access them at home and in the hospital.

We have already been overwhelmed by the support for our campaign from staff and clients and already have a small mountain of chocolate taking over our offices.

In some situations, however, you can never have too much of a good thing, and this is certainly one of them and we are still welcoming donations from clients and fellow businesses alike.

If you would like to contribute to this wonderful cause, feel free to drop one or more Easter Eggs into either the Soapbox Studio at 614 Eglinton Street, G5 9RR, or the Pest Solutions office at 10 Seaward Pl, G41 1HH.

Why CHAS?

When we came up with the idea of doing an easter egg collection, CHAS was the very first organisation that came to mind, and we could think of nowhere better to send the tower of chocolatey goodness currently building in our offices.

CHAS have been providing full family support for babies, children and young people with life suffering conditions for over thirty years.

Their incredible team of nurses, physios, support workers, and social workers provide invaluable care at home, in hospital and at their two ‘home from home’ hospices, Rachel House in Kinross and Robin House in Balloch.

CHAS provide the highest standard of specialist and end of life care to young people across Scotland, as well as supporting families through spiritual care and counselling throughout a child’s life and after bereavement.

CHAS are supported by a raft of fantastic volunteers and fundraisers in Scotland and further afield across the globe and rely upon the kind donations of the general public to maintain the incredibly high standard of care they provide on a daily basis.

We would be absolutely delighted for you to get involved with our Easter Egg campaign to provide some welcome joy to the lives children and young people across Scotland but if you are unable to do so, or would like to make a further contribution to the wonderful CHAS cause, visit https://www.chas.org.uk/get-involved/support-us/as-an-individual for more information on how to get involved.

Easter eggs are a lovely gift to give at this time, but if CHAS is to continue to do what they do better than anyone else, they need funding, and any contribution that you can make, or fundraising idea you might have really will make all the difference to the lives of those to need it most.
